Did someone say therapy...

Hey Ya’ll it’s Delashawn,

I wanted to take the time to really sit, have a talk about about therapy, and why we should consider it. For too long therapy has been looked at as a sign of craziness, but lets be real the only crazy people are those not willing to work through their trauma. I have a few questions for you, and yes I totally expect you to answer them.

  1. Have you been to therapy before?

  2. why or why not?

  3. What are your thoughts on therapy?

These questions are important to understand the basis of therapy, and where I stand on attending therapy. People assume therapy is going to a stone faced person with glasses at the tip of their nose; laying on a couch telling them your problems while they respond in a monotone voice with things like “ so Delashawn why do you feel angry today”?

No.... therapy is more than that if you put forth the effort, and choose the right therapist. For those who receive my emails, you understand therapy was my breakthrough but that wasn’t until I first found the right therapist then put forth the effort in to going to therapy and doing the work.

Join me on IG this week as we discuss the good in going to therapy, How to select your therapist, and why the work in therapy is your responsibility.

For those of you who don’t know my coaching page is www.instagram.com/delashawn.bordeaux

or you can follow Speak Our Truth at

Yeap that’s right I have two pages but I have learned those who aren’t survivors want to support but don’t want to feel limited to a page that focuses on abuse so I have expanded my horizons and started a page for coaching while still being available to my survivors. Lets me be honest though, since my ultimate goal is healing from trauma don’t be surprised if you see the same content on both pages.

What does that mean for you...absolutely nothing; I am still here for you. I have just created a comfortable place for two types of followers. I am ok with that as long as the message gets in the right hands. I love y'all and hope to hear from you soon.

BTW please don’t forget to like, share, and subscribe so I

know these messages are what my followers need.
